On this day in 1843, Charles Dickens published his famous book A Christmas Carol. For those of you who are not familiar with the plot, Dickens tells the tale of a greedy and miserly banker Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve all conspiring to make him a better person. A perfect story to read on a cold, dark winter night to celebrate the magic of the season.
